The Last Class! Feb 19

In today's presentations, Research Word was the most attractive and I want to use it in my Firefox. I suppose every our irritation on net surfing can solve in Firefox by using appropriate add-ons.

As to our own site, before the class I was very anxious about our group's site because it was still 'under construction'. However, our site got many good comments finally and I am very happy! In addition, all of the other sites were interesting for me. My favorite one is "chirimenjakoproject"? The balance of images/text and colors was very beautiful.

I really enjoyed Winter CM course! I have already finished the CM survey though I am very busy, hahaha.

Feb 12

Presentations we had today were interesting. I knew that some of Firefox add-ons are marginal in terms of copyright law. But they are actually useful, aren't they? I will TRY them.

After the presentations, we worked on our sites. Criteria became open to us at this point. My group was working hard and I found making a site is tougher work than I expected. Contents, exciting images, links, layouts, colors........ Though we can create it freely, it needs our sense so much.

CM class on Jan 29

After add-on presentations, we made new groups in order to look at each group's website. My group's site seemed to be better at this point so we will keep on working.

Also, our group is planning to create a slide show (one requirement of FP) using Picasa. Rob taught us how to use Picasa and we found it useful to make a slide show of pictures. We are now gathering interesting pictures related to nano-tech.

Launch our WP site! Jan 22

I did a presentation of FireFox add-on "Tree Style Tab." It might not be successfully done but I am so happy to finish my work. Also, someone who was next to me chose the same add-on, how strange it is!

After that, Yuri, Yuichi and I launched our site. It seems Yuichi is a professional of computers and IT technologies so we have an advantage! Our topic is nanotechnology, especially we are planning to focus on food.

By the way, I have too many groupwork (3 at this point, in ARW, CM and a sociology class.).......Winter term is sooooooooooooooooo tough to survive.

For CM Final Project

Yesterday we had three presentations for exciting firefox add-ons. Learning new add-ons I put them into my own Firefox but I found a bad thing........that is, my Firefox got very slow down. Then I disabled many add-ons and Firefox could work as usual (I use four add-ons now). Too many add-ons are not good for speed.

After that, Rob explained Evernote for us. It is a storage type add-on for Firefox. I am now thinking of how to use Evernote because it can memorize not only text but also picture. It seemed very useful and I will try it!

Then Rob made groups for CM Final Project and my group has three members. We found our interests (majors) are quite different: international relationship, sociology, and philosophy. But at this point we are commonly interested in health care in the future such as a possibility for amrit. I believe we will work together well.

The 1st CM class in winter!

At first I was surprised that Rob & Rab teached us!
I thought we will have two teachers in this term( but Rab was actually a tentative teacher.)

We joined a new group for winter term,
and confirmed a syllabus.

Then we reviewed what we learned in the last term by a checksheet and checked our comprehension.

Google Sites!

We had 2 presentation for firefox add-ons.
One is my favorite one, Cooliris. I love to use it because it is so beautiful!
Another is Glydo. It seems very useful to surfing the internet.

Then we played around Google Sites.
I made my website by using a template,
but I thought it did not so useful because changing template is not so easy as it seems.
I found that I prefer to create my website freely.
